I've been to Chasin Tails at the Centreville(closed) location. Been a long time and drove by this location couple of times so thought time to try it. I am going to start off by saying if you are party of two, you probably have less wait time than a 3 or 4. I was a bit annoyed with waiting especially after we made a reservation and there seem to be open tables. The restaurant is definitely more upscale than the Centreville location. Parking is around the corner and it's free for 3 hours. Their AYCE selections is interesting but everyone in the party have to get the same selection as well. We elected to get item from the normal selection. We started off with the Whole Dang Thang. It is a large plate of fried shrimp, gator, calamari and fries with 3 excellent sauces. Great to start off as appetizer. Each of us got some variation of shrimp boil. I got the head-on 1/2 pound with oh-dang sauce with extra potatoes and corn in medium sauce. Most of the shrimps are nice and crunchy. I would not get additional potatoes or corn as it was a bit much for 1/2 pound unless sharing with others. The oh-dang sauce is ok and medium level is not very spicy. We got a side order of garlic noodles. It was dry more on par with char kuey teow. Maybe it would be different if paired with lobster? We also got a side of bread and it was good. That is a side worth getting. Overall, the dinner is great but a bit on expensive side. There is an automatic 20% tips included as well. Has been the case for Chasin Tails since shortly after the pandemic. Not something new.

When you walk in the host was welcoming and friendly. We were told it would be a 15min wait but we were seated in 5mins Our waiter Rich was excellent and gave us good recommendations. We got the pit for two. Can't remember the name. The food was amazing and will definitely return when in the area

Had a decent time here with my fiancé and friends. Food was pretty good. The speed of service for the all you can eat seafood option was a bit slow, but the staff was pleasant. We got the middle tier option, but you could very well do the lowest tier, as you get unlimited appetizers sides and desserts with all of the all you can eat options. The highlight for me was the head off shrimp with garlic butter. It seemed like that pot was endless. I would definitely suggest going with someone with a similar palette so you can enjoy more together.

Service phenomenal, ambiance is modern but nice, and food was delicious. Everything was well seasoned. My absolute favorite was the garlic noodles included in the combo.

Date night was an all out success! Food was amazing and the service was great! We took Beignets to go for a little treat. This was our first time trying Chasing Tails and we were so glad we did.

Chasin Tails is another fine restaurant bought by the group that owns Nue, Roll Play, Teas N You, Leigh. Service at all their establishments have been terrific and the food is great. Chasin Tails specialize in seafood. We visited their Falls Church location as their Centreville location appears to be temporarily closed. The service here was great and their seafood portions were large and more importantly tasted fresh. We ordered the charbroiled oysters, seafood pot (snow crab legs, shrimp, sausage, corn, garlic noodles and added crawfish). The oysters tasted great and came with a warm loaf that you can use to soak in the sauce. The seafood pot portions were large (love the shrimp which were large) and everything tasted fresh. As I mentioned, service was great. Our dessert beignet came out a little late which we didn't mind but the manager comped us and gave us coupons for free drinks/appetizers for future. Unexpected but very much appreciated. Would not hesitate to recommend this fine restaurant as well as any of their other concepts (especially Nue next door which serves fine Vietnamese cuisine).

Service: the waitstaff was wonderful and very attentive! Beverages were refilled promptly, dishes taken and table cloth (paper) taken and cleaned as soon as we were done. Food: we were there for Restaurant Week and Lunar New Year celebration. We had the special pick your appetizer, seafood boil and pick your dessert. We chose Whole Dang Tang which was fried appetizer plate. The batter was light and crispy and there were 3 sauces. Very pleasantly surprised the batter was so good because I was expecting greasy fried food...you know the 'typical' fried app situationship. Seafood boil came out in a large Dutch oven. We had the spicy hot signature sauce which was the perfect level spice for us. Think Vietnamese hot, not Thai hot. Dessert was fried cheesecake - light batter and very yummy. Ambiance: last time I was at this restaurant, it was at the old location off Lee Hwy. This location in Falls Church is very upscale compared to the old one. Open and clean!!! Tip: they do add a 20% service fee that is split amongst the waitstaff. I am gonna be honest and say I hate service fees but the waitstaff here was SO ATTENTIVE that they absolutely deserved it. If more restaurants had this staff, I would gladly pay the service fee and give some extra to our waiter. Big kudos to them!!!! They are the reason why I have a full 5 stars.

Really fun and delicious experience! With 4 people, we ordered the royal feast for 2, 1 serving of mussels, and 1 garlic noodle side. We were thoroughly stuffed. Everything we got was flavorful and Id probably go back and order them all again. The mussels were the largest mussels I've ever seen. Everything in the royal feast pot was delicious, nothing was a "throwaway" ingredient. Noodles were premade, but very flavorful. Things will be pretty messy but that's part of the whole experience! Service was fast and friendly. Free parking in the adjacent garage if you enter in the code they give you when checking in.

We came for happy hour and stayed for dinner. HH drinks were sooo good! We especially liked the old fashioned, passion mule, naked & Smokey and they even made my margarita spicy! From the HH menu, we liked the raw hamachi crudo and the fried shrimp. The Brussels sprouts were too salty due to the oyster sauce and soy sauce combination. The calamari was a little bit chewy. Moving on to the main event, we loved the seafood pot with oh dang sauce. We got a pound of king crab legs (3 large legs), 2 pounds of shrimp and a pound of crawfish. Wow! The seafood was soooo fresh! Service was attentive and this was an overall great experience!
